Bluecreation announces bc127 now supports voice commands for 'siri' and 'google now'

Release Date: Nov 9, 2016

BlueCreation, a leading provider of wireless modules and solutions, has announced today that its flagship Bluetooth module BC127, now supports voice commands and prompts for both ‘Siri’ and ‘Google Now’. iPhone and Android users can now control their music, perform searches and much more using BC127 for the first time.

BlueCreation’s latest version of the signature Melody firmware (v6) adds support for voice commands and prompts, allowing SmartPhone users to play and control their favourite song, albums or playlists. BC127 will act as a microphone and simply relay the answers from ‘Siri’ or ‘Google Now’ back to the user.

Voice commands are based on those already supported by ‘Siri’ and ‘Google Now’, meaning a multitude of languages are supported to communicate with either virtual assistant through BC127.

Similarly, users can now interact with any music apps that ‘Google Now’ and ‘Siri’ support such as Google Play Music®, Spotify® and Apple Music®. One command places BC127 into listening mode, allowing people to use voice commands to change songs. There is no separate App that needs to be running in the background.
